Reference materials can be included in with the appropriate Dewey category above OR done all together in one of the above years. After the fifth year, the cycle will repeat unless the Library Media Collection Development Plan is revised.
Bester's Inventory Policy
A full inventory of all sections of our library will take place every spring/summer as recommended by the supervisor of Library Media Programs. At the end of every school year when all (or the majority of the) library books are returned, Mrs. Rubeck will use Follett Destiny to conduct the inventory. Mrs. Rubeck will use planning time and after school hours to scan all books into Destiny by section (Everybody, Fiction, Graphic Novel, Junior Fiction, and Nonfiction). While this process takes a great deal of time, it will allow Mrs. Rubeck to know what books are in the collection, which may have been lost, and what books she should purchase to fill in gaps in the collection.
